Website Traffic Growth Calculator
A sample is already running. This website traffic growth calculator compounds each month from the start, percent, and months you type. It is not a live-site forecast.
start× (1 + rate)k=visits in month k
How the compound traffic projection is formed
Visits after month k equal starting monthly visits × (1 + monthly growth rate)^k. The monthly growth rate is the percent you typed divided by 100.
The large figure is visits in the last month. The sum adds month 1 through the last month. Month 0 in the table is the starting count and is not part of that sum.
Example: 10,000 visits, 10% per month, and 3 months. After the first month the figure is 11,000; after the second, 12,100; after the third, 13,310. The sum is 36,410.
Questions people ask
Is this simple growth or compound growth?
Compound. Each month multiplies the previous month, not the original starting count. Ten percent for two months is not the same as twenty percent once.
Does this tool read my current traffic?
No. There is no URL field. Type the monthly visits you already have from analytics.
Can I model a decline?
Yes. A negative percent reduces visits each month, as long as the percent is greater than −100.
Why is the sum larger than the last month?
The last month is one month of visits. The sum is every projected month added together, which is the traffic you would count if each of those months happened.
Can I turn this into website value?
Take an ending visit count to the website value calculator and supply a rate there. That page still will not quote a buyer.
